What is a machining center?

CNC machining centers are CNC machines that can continuously perform multiple types of machining, including boring, milling, drilling, threading and reaming. Its main feature is that it is equipped with an automatic tool changer (ATC), which allows for many of the above machining operations. In addition, automatic tool changes can be achieved through programming.

Depending on the machine configuration, there are horizontal, vertical and gantry machining centers. In recent years, five-axis machining centers have also emerged that can machine more complex shapes.
